Board of County Commissioners Meeting April 12, 2022

At the April 12, 2022 Board of County Commissioners meeting, Kevin Van Ostenbridge put on the agenda an item to request rezoning of the Central Library property from T-5 (max height 12 stories) to T-6 (max height 20 stories). Discussion ensued surrounding this application, as there hadn’t been public comment about closing the Central Library. He states that he just wants to have the property rezoned; however, there would be no need to rezone the property if they weren’t considering selling the property to developers.

The motion to apply for rezoning passed by a vote of 5 - 2 with commissioners Servia and Bellamy dissenting.
